Nevin Yıldız was born in Istanbul Türkiye, raised in Switzerland and educated in the United States. Her artwork is deeply inspired by nature and humanity. She has been painting since her childhood and is known for her passion to flowers and nature.
Her paintings portray nature as a bridge to her artwork. She has a passion for flowers and lush greenery that convey her thoughts and feelings to humanity. With her own words, she says that beauty is in the details such as life itself, we only need to know how to look for it.
At the end of the day we all face same issues and challenges in our lives, no matter our backgrounds and experiences, cultures and places we live in. We are all in one “Nature”.
Nature has always been a common denominator of culture and humanity. It has always fascinated and inspired me. It is a powerful ground of life.

During adolescence years, maybe like many of you, I was in search for an identity; a sense of belonging.
This painting emerged when searching for identity during adolescence years. I was in search for home for my true “identity”.
This painting is a continuation of “The Memory of a Flower”.
“Compassion of flowers” is a way of finding love and compassion through the offerings of nature. The intricate folds and creases of the flowers represent ups and downs of life metaphorically, like light and dark, good and bad.
It is nature that evolves humankind to patience and observations, as it flourishes and grows everyday, bit by bit that brings joy, kindness and empathy. We learn through the cycles of life and time is everything.
